Sheehan Civil Service Commission Albany City Hall Mayor Michael Cassidy, Chair 24 Eagle Street, Rm 301 Akosua Yeboah, Vice Chair (p) 518-434-5049 (f) 518-434-5269 MEETING MINUTES Meeting of the Albany Municipal Civil Service Commission held on Thursday March 7, 2024 at 4:30pm in the Mayor’s Conference Room ATTENDEES: Michael Cassidy, Chair and Commissioner Akosua Yeboah, Vice Chair and Commissioner Tatiana Diaz, Commission Secretary, Director of HR Marissa Tuszynski, Deputy Human Resources Director - City of Albany Linda Keller, Assistant Corporation Counsel - City of Albany Commissioner Cassidy called the meeting to order at 4:35pm. I. Approval of February 28, 2024 meeting minutes Commissioner Yeboah made a motion to approve the 2/28/2024 meeting minutes. Commissioner Cassidy seconded the motion. Motion passed and carried. II. Non-Selections/Disqualifications  Firefighter #66-778, Failed psychological evaluation: Candidate WT  Firefighter #66-778, Failed psychological evaluation: Candidate AF Commissioner Cassidy made a motion to uphold the non-selections of candidates WT and AF. Commissioner Yeboah seconded the motion. Motion passed and carried. Commissioner Cassidy made a motion to move into an executive session to discuss confidential personnel matters at 4:34pm. Motion seconded by Commissioner Yeboah, motion passed and carried. Commissioner Yeboah made a motion to return to regular session at 5:17pm. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cassidy, motion passed and carried. III. Appeals  Firefighter #66-778, Failed psychological evaluation: Candidate KB Commissioner Cassidy made a motion to uphold the appeal made by candidate KB. Motion seconded by Commissioner Yeboah, motion passed and carried. IV. New Business presented by Tatiana Diaz, Director of Human Resources Commissioner Yeboah made a motion to move into executive session at 5:17pm to discuss confidential personnel matters. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cassidy. Motion passed and carried.  Commissioner Yeboah made a motion to return to regular session at 5:27pm. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cassidy. Motion passed and carried. V. Adjournment Meeting adjourned by Commissioner Cassidy at 5:27pm.
