City of Albany resident Jared King joined the meeting to provide their public comment regarding “Returnships”, defined as internships for adults who are looking to re-enter the (civil service) workforce after a prolonged period of being unemployed. Going forward the Commission has requested to be notified on the Civil Service meeting agenda if an applicant has been approved or denied for the same type of appeal in the past so that the  commission can ensure that consistency is maintained when reviewing appeals.
