Chair’s report  Studio Coordinator RFP. No submissions for Studio Coordinator in response to RFP, which is due/expires October 18, 2021. Chair concerned as this is the second time it was posted and Kirk’s contract is up on the 31st of October. Kirk will go month to month.  Can we offer it as a job posting, since the RFP can be intimidating? Maybe title it a Request for Applicants? Laura consulted with City and it was not recommended to be a ‘job posting’ since there are so many requirements that city employees must comply with that would not be applicable. Laura suggests an easier form for potential applicants rather than an onerous RFP.  RFPs are posted on city site and bid net direct, which is a national site. Don suggests expanding our search ~ maybe we can reach out to local colleges with media departments.  Aprecia Cabey: Perhaps we can have the RFP shared on the Mayor’s City FB page to broaden exposure. Laura will follow-up.  Common Council equipment installation: Update~ Laura advises that all cameras are up. Waiting on the mixing board and things are moving along.  No word on Common Council’s position regarding stakeholder seat as a result of The New School’s change in location to NYC.  Recognizing Scott Jarzombek who has been invaluable member of the Board and strong supporter of public access. This is his last meeting, as he has accepted another position. We wish him luck and are grateful for all the work and insight he has provided. The Library remains a stakeholder. Scott, taking the floor, PEG makes him happy, and he will miss working with the Board. He is passionate about PEG and is excited about the future of Channel Albany.  Community Media Day next week. Proclamations are up in the studio! Studio coordinator’s report  Kirk also acknowledges Scott and his contributions to the Board.  City Hall didn’t said much but he has uploaded testimony and song, and new shows, a PEG board meeting and a Common Council meeting.  Proclamation is up  Intern from the High School will start next week.
