ALBANY COMMON COUNCIL PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE Kelly Kimbrough, Chair Meeting called by: Kelly Kimbrough, Chair Date: 12-10-20 Time: 5:30PM Chief Auditor Dr. Applyrs Joseph Manchini Thomas McNaughton Kelly Melaragno John Pratt Barry Walston Roxanne Welch Abrahams Orville Invitees/Speakers Committee Members Kimbrough, Chair ☒ Igoe ☒ Balarin ☒ Hoey ☒ Frederick ☒ Present: Council Members Present: Flynn and Anane City Personnel Present: Danielle Gillespie and John-Raphael Pichardo Minutes Agenda Item: INTERVIEW CANDIDATES FOR THE CITY OF ALBANY VIOLENCE PREVENTION TASK FORCE Points of Discussion:  The Chair and President Pro Tem Kimbrough called meeting to order.  President Pro Tem Kimbrough, Council member Hoey and Igoe ask Chief Auditor Dr. Dorcey Applyrs questions regarding her initial intent regarding Equity Agenda.  Committee members and Council members interviewed Joseph Manchini, Thomas McNaughton, Kelly Melaragno, John Pratt, Barry Walston, Roxanne Welch and Abrahams Orville for the Violence Prevention Task Force.  Council member Hoey made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss appointments, which was seconded. The motion passed.  Committee made a determination in Executive Session.  Dr. Harden’s appointment is subject to Corporation Counsel review.  Council member Igoe made a motion to get out of Executive Session, which was seconded. The motion passed. Public Comment: There was no public comment. Adjourn: The Chairperson asked for a motion to adjourn at 9:30pm, which was duly made, seconded, and passed.
