ALBANY COMMON COUNCIL PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MINUTES Kelly Kimbrough, Chair Meeting called by: Kelly Kimbrough, Chair Date: 03-02-21 Time: 5:30PM Committee Members Present: Kimbrough, Chair ☒ Balarin ☒ Frederick ☒ Hoey ☒ Igoe ☐ Present: Council Members Present: Doesschate, Farrell, Conti City Personnel Present: Danielle Gillespie and John-Raphael Pichardo Minutes Agenda Item: THE COMMITTEE WILL DISCUSS THE CITY OF ALBANY’S POLICE REFORM & REINVENTION COLLABORATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS  Council member Hoey made a comment regarding different version of the Report  Council Member Frederick asked a question to which Council Member Kimbrough and Research Counsel responded.  Council Member Conti expressed a reporting requirement of the Mayor and Chief of quarterly reports of the implementation plans.  Council Woman Doesschate expressed concern with timelines.  Council Members Hoey, Farrell expressed concern with some of the actions items in the Recommendations  Council Members expressed accountability issues.  The chair opened up public comment  Council Members reviewed comments posted on the live feed on the common council Facebook page.  Council Member Balarin asked about next steps and expressed concerns Public Comment: Danielle Hille (Concern with General Orders omissions/redactions) Lauren Manning (on behalf for the Center for Law and Justice, inadequate plan) Adjourn: The Chairperson asked for a motion to adjourn at 6:32pm, which was duly made, seconded, and passed.
