Amend Agenda Motion by Bembas; supported by Gillis to amend the agenda by removing item 11a: Written Findings of Fact and Order of Demolition 1830 St. Clair River Dr. Motion carried. Consent Agenda Motion by Skarbek; supported by Gillis to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried. Roll Call Ayes: Gillis, Harris, Martin, Skarbek, Stoneburner, Bembas, Blair Nays: None Unfinished Business None New Business To approve annual supplement to Code Ordinance: $ 2,504.25. Motion by Blair; supported by Skarbek to approve payment for the annual supplement to the city code of ordinances to Municode Code Corporations, whose address is P.O. Box 2235, Tallahassee, FL 32316, in the amount of $2,504.25. Motion carried. Roll Call Ayes: Harris, Martin, Skarbek, Stoneburner, Bembas, Blair, Gillis Nays: None To approve proposal for architectural services for Algonac Swimming Pool at Lions Field: $3,150. Motion by Gillis; supported by Harris to approve the proposal for architectural services for the Algonac Swimming Pool at Lions Field presented by George Harman Architects in the amount of $3,150 and authorize the city manager to sign the proposal on behalf of the city. Motion carried. Motion by Skarbek; supported by Gillis to set the budget schedule for FY 2021- 2022 as presented. Motion carried. Roll Call Ayes: Stoneburner, Bembas, Blair, Gillis, Harris, Martin, Skarbek Nays: None To approve payment to building official: $4,187.58 Motion by Gillis; supported by Blair to approve payment to Tracy Kallek Building Official Services for the month of December 2020 in the amount of $4,321.09. Motion carried. Roll Call Ayes: Bembas, Blair, Gillis, Harris, Martin, Skarbek, Stoneburner Nays: None To INTRODUCE an amendment to the Accessory Structure ordinance. Motion by Blair; supported by Skarbek to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission and INTRODUCE an amendment to Chapter 50 “Zoning” Article XV “General Provisions,” Section 449 “Accessory Buildings Structures and Uses” by amending subparagraph (3) in its entirety to regulate approvals based on lot size as presented. Blair Again, Sam, your calming demeanor in the city and how you handle your busines is always professional. You’re a great person and a great addition to the community Whatever you do with your future endeavors, I’m sure will be outstanding.. Lisa Welcome aboard! You’ve got a great group to work with at city hall and I don’t think council is that bad either. Best of luck. We’re here to help you with anything you need. Remember to reach out to help each other. As for the ice jam. I know its part of living in Algonac, but we always reach out to each other. Best of luck with the water, Hope it recedes soon. Best of luck to Rocky and your home and everyone one. Can’t wait to see everybody again soon. Gillis Sam, it’s been a great time working with you from basic city clerk stuff to planting flowers in the park. You’ve been much more than just a city clerk, you’ve been a true asset to this community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will truly miss you. Lisa welcome aboard, you’ve got big shoes to fill and I’m sure you can as long as you can bake real well and plant flowers. I hope the water goes down. I’ve been it in the last few hours my feet are freezing. Bembas What can I say about Sam that everybody hasn’t already said. She will be here for a couple more days so come in and say goodbye. Lisa, welcome aboard. I can’t stand sitting around doing nothing It’s been a whole year since we’ve been out doing anything. Tomorrow Pearl Beach Lions are having a food pick up for Margaret Jean’s 90th birthday. It's a benefit for the Pearl Beach Lions but you have to call for reservation. Good way to support community when nothing has been going on. Maybe things are opening up a little bit now and it will be better than last year. Stoneburner Let everyone know I got my vaccination. Commend the health dept. for having it so very well organized. The appointment only took 15 minutes today. Very informative people My husband Tom did get one also. I was there at 5:30 and they were as happy and friendly at the end of the day. Very good experience for husband and myself. On Saturday, 2.27 there is a pop up food panty at Algonac Fire Station at 10:30 sponsored by Food bank of Eastern Michigan and Community First Health centers. First come first served. Regarding water levels – Councilman Blair asked me to contact the county emergency manager for a preview of the summer. Everything is supposed to go down and it will. The Army Corp of Engineers does not take weather into considerations when forecasting the water levels. This ice jam today caught a lot of people by surprise. Mrs. Gerstenberg stated earlier the two coast guard cutters are out here working. Hopefully when we wake up we’ll see some change. Some of the roads are water covered. Check in on our neighbors, friends and people who normally don’t get checked in on. Thank you to Sam. You’re going to love it ;after Feb. 11th.
