To approve appointment of Interim City Manager. 12) Accounts Payable 12.2.25 CC Agenda  Item No: llc Meeting: 12.2.2025 Business of the Algonac City Council Agenda Statement Item Title: To consider Appointment of Interim City Manager. Submitted by: Denice A. Gerstenberg, City Manager Summary It is necessary to appoint an Interim City Manager for a limited time to ensure the continuity of city operations and provide executive leadership while recruitment for a permanent City Manager is underway. It is suggested that City Council appoint Fire Chief Joseph Doan as the Interim City Manager. The appointment will be effective starting November 29, 2025 and will continue until a permanent City Manager is appointed. It is suggested that the Interim City Manager receive a stipend of $430 per week (Estimated 10 hours per week at City Manager $42.91 current rate of pay). Suggested Action : MOVED BY: SUPPORTED BY: RESOLVED, to approve the appointment of Fire Chief Joseph Doan as Interim City Manager until a new, permanent city manager begins employment with the city.
