MINUTES ALHAMBRA CITY ARTS AND CULTURAL EVENTS COMMITTEE Regular Meeting Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 7:00 P.M. Alhambra City Hall, 111 South First Street Conference Room A, Second Floor The regular meeting of the City Arts and Cultural Events Committee was called to order at 7:02 P.M. on September 19, 2018 at Alhambra City Hall, 111 South First Street Alhambra, Conference Room A. I. ROLL CALL Committee Members Present: Luthi, Palm, and Reyes. Committee Members Absent: Pemberton. Also attending: Deputy Director Brie Houghton and Clerical Assistant II Kelsey Rivadeneyra II. FLAG SALUTE III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On the motion of Committee Member Luthi with a second by Committee Member Reyes, the minutes of the May 16, 2018 C.A.C.E meeting were unanimously approved as written. IV. LOBBY ART UPDATE The September lobby art exhibit by the United Chinese Artist Art Association was successfully installed. A commendation from the City Council to the artists was presented by Deputy Director Brie Houghton and C.A.C.E. President Greg Palm. V. SPECIAL EVENTS UPDATE The committee approved to host the first City of Alhambra Chalk Art contest on Mother’s Day May 19, 2019 at the Alhambra Civic Center Library in conjunction with the Alhambra Farmer’s Market. VI. PUBLIC COMMUNICATION NONE VII. COMMITTEE COMMUNICATION NONE VIII. ADJOURNMENT On the motion of Luthi with a second by Reyes, the meeting adjourned at 7:19 P.M. Copies of staff reports or other written documentation relating to each type of business described herein above are on file in the office of Community Services, Alhambra City Hall, 111 South First Street, Alhambra, and are available for public inspection during regular office hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
