The meeting started at 5:30 pm.
Approve the April 20, 2016 minutes
Dale moved to approve the April 20, 2016 meeting minutes. Laurel seconded the motion and the
motion passed unanimously.
Discussion of Applications and Recommendations for Fund Award
The individual committee members scored the project then determined how much funding each project
should receive. The recommendations were then combine on a spreadsheet, for committee to review
at the April 27th meeting.
The committee feels if possible, to give complete funding rather than partial funding to requests. This
will make it possible for those who receive funds to complete their projects within the time limit given.
The recommendation is based on an estimation of tax revenue at the end of the fiscal year. If there is a
deficiency in the estimated revenue then reduce the funds for the Fox Hollow Golf Simulator. If there is
a surplus in revenue give to the Miller Park Restroom Project so it start.
Recommendations to the City Council for their final approval
Fitness Center Parking/Drop off and Pickup $155,000.00
Project will project additional parking and make the drop off/pick up area safer
Park Benches 4,500.00
Park benches will be placed it various parks with the PARC logo on them
Art Dye Park 250.000.00
The funds will help toward finishing the Park, this request is the first over the next 6 years
Boat Harbor Improvements 80,000.00
Matching funds
Daughter of the Utah Pioneers: Roof 7,500.00
Replace roof and protect historical items in the museum
Evergreen Park Restroom 74,000.00
This is the first restroom to start with in placing restrooms in all the parks
Fox Hollow Simulator 20,995.00
The simulator help people of all ages improve their game
Library/Rotary Club Book Fairy, Dictionaries, Board Books 14,850.00
Encourages student to read and learn
Timpanogos Arts Foundation Programming 123,450.00
Helps to fund art programs
Timpanogos Arts Foundation Instruments 48,804.00
Instruments for the American Fork Symphony and Wasatch Wind, so they not haven’t to borrow
from the schools
Timpanogos Arts Foundation Chairs, Stands, Shell 41,442.00
Chairs, music stands, conductor stand for their permanent rehearse venue
Timpanogos Arts Foundation History Pageant 5320.00
Provides the community an understanding of its heritage
Staci provide a notification letter
Laurel provide a recommendation memo for the City Council
Everyone was encourages to the June City Council meeting
Other Business
The next meeting is June 3, 2016, at 5:30 pm, American Fork City Administration Building Conference
Room.
Laurel moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:30 pm, Dale seconded.
