PARC Tax Advisory Board January 4, 2017 City Office Conference Room Attendees Brian Thompson Laurel Shelley Dale Gunther Staci Carroll Nan Kuhn Nate Mecham Dan & Karen Adams The meeting started at 5:30 pm. Approve the December 7, 2016 minutes Dale moved to approve the December 7, 2016 meeting minutes after deleting “Staci is now the recreation specialist.” Nate seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Hadfield plans to recommend Clark Taylor, to the City Council for their confirmation. He would replace Joe on the Board. Trevor Coombs, City Financial Director, told Brian the PARC fund has collected approximately $68,000 - $69,000 per month, from July to November. Trevor will continue keeping the Board updated on the funds. Signage Nate stated he has not heard from anyone from Sign City. McGee’s does vinyl and custom signs and also outsources to Precision Printing. Nate and Dale will write the specifications for both basic and construction signs. The Mandatory Workshop is scheduled for February 22, 2017. Committee Assignments Brian: Invite Cherylyn to attend each meeting to discuss policy and procedural changes Invite Clark Taylor to meetings after he is approved by Council Revise timeline Work BAF Marketing for workshop posters Dale: Work with Trevor to get year-to-date tax numbers and project future receipts Dale/Nate: Prepare recipient sign specifications and requirements Nate: Update workshop slide deck after input from committee; send to team for review Staci: Pictures for 2016 grant recipients projects for the website and incorporate them into workshop presentation Prepare 5-minute overview on-line application process for workshop Staci/Cameron: Put both Word and PDF applications available on-line Nan: Work with the City to announce the workshop in the city bills and on the City’s website, Facebook page and legal notice Laurel Coordinate workshop poster placement and other forms of public notice Other Business The next regularly scheduled meeting is February 1, 2017, at 5:30 pm, American Fork City Administration Building Conference Room. Laurel moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:40 pm, Dale seconded.
