PARC Tax Advisory Board
January 8, 2020

Nate Mecham participated by conference call.
The meeting started at 5:30 pm.
Nate moved to approve the November 6, 2019 meeting minutes. Scott seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
Rotary Park
The backstop on the baseball field at Rotary Park, is breaking down and repairs and a modification are
needed now. Providence Charter School uses the field for practice. The school would like to invest in
the park and create a partnership with the city to make improvements, with a total cost of $102,408.
Providence Hall is donating $60,000 to the project as they plan to make this their home field. A local
contractor, Zane Mitchell, Triple F Industries has donated $12,008 toward replacing the backstop. The
Parks Department is requesting $30,400 PARC funds to support this project.
Laurel moved to the approve $30,400 PARC funds and forward this request to the City Council for
their approval. Nate seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
Timpanogos Arts Foundation (TAF)
The Utah State Auditor’s Office require annual financial reports from nonprofits that receive $25,000
local funds from local governments. The Auditors Office can require American Fork to withhold funds
until the necessary reports are received. TAF is in the process getting the required reports ready to send
to the Auditor’s Office.
PARC Workshop Slide Show Review
• Correct spelling errors
• Website for PARC Survey results
• Add pictures of projects
• Projects reviewed quarterly
• Review application - do application in a Word document then paste information into application.
• Report any outside funding and donations
• Prepare for presentation to Board in March
• Take a lot of photos of project
• Keep good records for audits and Council Report
• PARC logo present on programs, signs, during construction, completion to project
Workshop is scheduled for January 30, 7:00 pm, City Administration Conference Room
Other Business
