Scott moved to approve the May 13, 2020 meeting minutes, Karen seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Grant Applications Update Discussion: Quilt Circle: “Have purchased some of the sewing machines, but the Senior Center is closed” Alpine Community Theater: “Trying to coordinate scheduling of a facility with city and the school district for a Christmas event.” American Fork City: • “Scoreboards: Scoreboards have been delivered will be installed in spring of 2021 • Quail Cove Restroom: Restroom purchased and installed, city working to tie water and sewer lines. When finished will pour sidewalk around the restroom and finish landscaping. Should be finished before spring. • Library Children’s Room: Working on putting a RFP together for the room design.” Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra • “TSO is unable to perform our planned school concert at Greenwood Elementary on November 2, 2020. The plan with the school is to contact them after the New Year and see if we can schedule a concert for the spring. They won't know for certain whether we will be able to perform the concert until we see whether the pandemic subsides. Back-up plans include either performing a free community concert at the Amphitheatre next summer or postponing the school concert to next fall, 2021, with approval of course. We will keep in touch as things proceed.” Wasatch Contemporary Dance • “We have dates scheduled with the venue (The Northampton House) but are waiting to pay for the venue rental until January so we can see how things go with COVID. Needed to change the show to better fit CDC guidelines. We feel confident we will be able to complete this project, performing on March 20, 26 and 27, following county health mandates. As of this moment, 0% of the funds have been spent, but they are ready to pay for the venue on Jan 1 - the venue just wanted us to wait a little before paying. If the county asks wedding venues like the Northampton House to close for a time again, we can explore the option of making a dance film within the venue or broadcast the performance virtually only with no spectators present.” Friends of the Library • “Book Fairy: Half of the books have been purchased, stickered and delivered. We anticipate doing the rest of them in December or January. We have spent 60% of the funds. • Dictionary Project: All of them are boxed and ready to go. We are waiting on a few schools to let us know how they would like them delivered (Covid has changed policies, so it’s been tricky). We have spent 95% of the funds.” Harrington Art Center PARC 2019-2020 Grants (Carryover Amounts Only) • “Chalk It Up 2019: Carryover Amount: $492.93, 100% Complete Added to Chalk It Up 2020 event. • Fork Fest 2020: Carryover Amount: $15,020, 100%Complete Event held on Sept 5, 2020 • Concerts in the Park 2020: Carryover Amount: $6,512, 0% Complete Postponed until summer 2021 PARC 2020-2021 Grants • Chalk It Up 2020: Grant Amount: $5,000, 100% Complete Event held July 8-11, 2020 • Fork Fest 2021: Grant Amount: $25,000, 0% Complete: Event to be held June 2021 • Concerts in the Park 2021: Grant Amount: $5,500, 0% Complete Events to be held June/July 2021” 2020/2022 PARC funds allotment The finance director has calculated $1,340,000, not include is an Administrative fee of 1.5%, which Camden suggests we put towards sending out informational fliers to the residents. The Council will decide if the current year’s 2020/2021 funds to be rolled over to 2021/2022. Virtual Workshop The Mandatory Virtual Workshop will be January 28, 2021, 7:00 pm Applications website will open January 29, 2021 and close February 26, 2021 Brian will do the workshop timeline.
