Parc Tax Advisory Board January 11, 2024 Minutes Attendees Camden Bird Katie Sorensen Scott Okelberry Kimberlie Paulson Brandon Smith Karen Schaack Hugh Johnson Spencer Stevens Scott Okelberry began the meeting at 5:30 pm. Minutes from April 12, 2023 were approved by Hugh Johnson. A motion to second was made by Kimberlie Paulson and the motion passed. Schedule 2024 -Applicant workshop is to be held January 25th at 7:00pm. Brandon to present. Window for applications is going to be Jan 25-Feb 23 -Binders and spreadsheet to be compiled prior to Feb 29th meeting. -First PARC board meeting following applications being submitted will take place on February 29th. (Cherylyn to attend with any legal info/disqualifications she has found). -Presentations will take place on March 7th and March 14th. -First pass meeting March 28th. Planning on 2 hours from 5:30 to 7:30. -Finalization meeting First preference is to meet April 10th at 5:30 (recommend to City Council Apr 16) because of spring break Alternate plan to meet Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:00pm (recommend to City Council Apr 9). -Council to adopt on April 23, 2024. Housekeeping -New board member by January 23 -Update PARC website: Update list of the names of the board Pictures for Kimberlie, Hugh, new member No contact info-any emails/questions will go through Camden & he will forward Schedule outlined and posted online for applicants and others to see -A formal audit of projects from last year is taking place this month. City finance to review the formal audit and should be wrapping up around Jan 31. This info will be made available for us to review. -Some final thoughts/discussion regarding last year: -Be thoughtful about message we send with amount of money funded and be careful with just taking the average unless it is quite close. -Set expectation for organizations to not just expect previous donation and to make sure they are also funding through other sources and not relying soley on PARC to keep their organization going. -Drone show was well liked by the board and very well attended. -Community is excited for the additional bathroom going in at Art Dye.
