Meeting Minutes
Friday, March 10, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
City Hall Auditorium- 62 Friend Street.
The meeting was called to order by the City Clerk, Amanda Haggstrom at 9:33 a.m.
Roll call was taken and present were Chief of Staff Ann Marie Casey, Community & Economic
Development Director Angela Cleveland, Building Commissioner Vinny Tirone, Head of Archives Meghan
Fahey, and City Clerk Amanda Haggstrom.
Nomination of Chair-
Angela Cleveland moved to nominate Amanda Haggstrom as Chair of the committee. She was
seconded by Ann Marie Casey. The motion passed unanimously (5 members present).
Schedule of future meetings:
• Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for April 6th at 4:00 p.m.
• The committee will produce a calendar of future dates at the next meeting.
• The committee only has this calendar year to review this item.
Discuss possible alternate members:
• The committee discussed the need for alternate members as outlined in the administrative order.
• The committee decided that alternate members were not necessary, and if there was not a
quorum, the meeting would be postponed.
Meghan Fahey moved to not elect alternate members for the committee at this time. She was
seconded by Angela Cleveland. The motion passed unanimously (5 members present).
Process of review and deliverables:
• Ann Marie Casey talked about the various boards and committees and things to focus on like
current composition, functionality, meeting frequency, minutes etc....
• The committee talked about goals they were looking to meet.
• Ms. Casey said that she will have a draft set of operating rules for the committee prepared for
review for the next meeting.
• Ms. Casey said the Mayor has discussed the potential need for a disability committee.
• Ms. Haggstrom informed the committee about the Cable Advisory Committee that many were
unaware of. There was a group discussion on the necessity and the value.
• The committee talked briefly about a handful of committees/commissions:
-Cable advisory-
-Educational access committee-
-Council on aging board?
-DRC
-Economic incentives comm
-Energy
-Lakes and waterways
-Open space
-Master plan implementation
-Parks and rec
-TRC
-Landry stadium
-Tree board-state
• Head of Archives, Meghan Fahey was tasked with creating an evaluation form to be used to
evaluate the various boards to look for statutory regulations, memberships, and other information
to bring to the next meeting for discussion.
Angela Cleveland moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 a.m. She was seconded by Vinny Tirone.
The motion passed unanimously (5 members present).
