By City Clerk at 11:16 am, Dec 18, 2024 City of Amesbury Office of the City Clerk 62 Friend St. Amesbury, MA 01913 Special City Council Meeting Minutes Wednesday, August 21, 2024 5:30 PM Virtual Meeting Councilor Pamela Gilday called the meeting to order at 5:33 PM Roll call was taken, and present were Councilor Anthony Rinaldi, Councilor Nicholas Wheeler, Councilor Owen Corcoran, Councilor Pamela Gilday, Councilor Michael Hogg. Also present: City Clerk Jennifer Smith, Assistant City Clerk Jess Manning, Board of Registrars Appointee Adeline Matton Councilors Claudel Frederique, Steve Stanganelli, Jessica Redfern, and President Scott Mandeville were absent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mayoral Appointments- 2024-106 Appointment Robert Manseau Conservation Commission term to expire February 28, 2027. • City Clerk Jennifer Smith mentioned that 2024-106 and 2024-107 took effect on August 19, 21 days after their appointments. Councilor Nicholas Wheeler made a motion to approve the appointment of Robert Manseau to the Conservation Commission with a term to expire on February 28, 2027. The motion was seconded by Councilor Anthony Rinaldi and passed unanimously (5-0) 2024-107 Reappointment of Kerry Hamel Pope to Amesbury Housing Trust term to expire April 30, 2026. Councilor Nicholas Wheeler made a motion to approve the appointment of Kerry Hamel Pope to the Amesbury Housing Trust with a term to expire on April 30, 2026. The motion was seconded by Councilor Owen Corcoran and passed unanimously (5-0) 2024-108 Appointment of Adeline Matton to the Board of Registrars with a term to expire February 28, 2025. • Adeline Matton spoke to her appointment, drawing attention to her community work as member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Councilor Nicholas Wheeler made a motion to approve the appointment of Adeline Matton to the Board of Registrars with a term to expire February 28, 2025.
