6:46pm Review and Vote on Grant Panel Book
All agreed on the top 19 and after funding these we have 1560 left. Select group have provided specific dates,
support letters and we have funded a few of these before.
DIscussed the remaining ranked grants and decided on where to allocate the rest of the grant money. We have
an extra $10.00 remaining.. Will send out denial letters to the grants that didn’t get enough votes. Nun of this
Nun of That will be getting and extra 10.00 since we have to allocate all the funds(CT)
RW: In the next couple of days rejection letters will go out. They have 15 days to reply and ask for more
information or appeal. Usually we don’t have many intense conversations. Once this is done then we can
submit our final report on the final grantees and send out Approval notices in January.
7:36pm Marketing and Social Member Push ML: wants to do a redux of the newsletter. Wants to add
events and things not supported by the ACC. Amesbury 2030 meeting was focused on arts and culture in the
community. The take away was there is a lot happening but there is no central calendar so the city is going to
think about this and maybe use the ACC calendar online which is currently empty. This would be a good
location for this stuff. How do we maintain it and support this calendar with events. Every issue will have a
featured artist, reach out and give a shout out each month. Social media has gone dark since BL has left.
Need the content in order to do this. Monthly newsletter from the MCC -can use their content too.
Can we use a HS senior as an intern? A City board needs to train them to do this. Have someone create
content and we check it and then post it. Start with some guidelines and then get the content. HS needs
volunteer hours.
Members drive in December. Is there anything else we need to do to keep interest. ? CT will help support this
on the city pages.
ML: Do we have to vote on a more frequent newsletter? All agreed, so no vote is needed. SC: maybe watch to
see if people unsubscribe. ML: willing to start and will do some social media.
7:44 Poet Laureate & Art @ City Hall Reports: Art at City hall (Courtney) will be sending a Call to Art on
Friday Dec 10. Stay tuned. Delia emailed: next show will be a public show: “hanging together “ , Sparhawk will
be in the Spring. Abel Heart will be Summer
Spring 22, topics to discuss: a grant reception to grantees. Maybe input surveys will be sent out. Acc
members attend programs to discuss how they were.
Public Comment
2030 : CT discusses what they outlined. Acc will be involved in the next meeting when they have surveys back
and will discuss how to move forward and achieve the goals. Where do we want arts and culture to go. How do
we fund this, how do we get staff support….etc.
8pm Motion to adjourn: LK, Second RW, Unanimous
