Amesbury Energy Committee- Meeting Minutes- August 2020 Amesbury Energy Committee of August 13, 2020 -- Online/COVID-era-- 6:00PM Attendees Members: Jon Camp, Nate Mallard, Tony Rinaldi, Tom Barrasso RECEIVED By Amanda at 9:12 am, 12/4/20 Non-members: Nancy Maynes, resident Absent members: Pam Gilday, Angela Cleveland Minutes July minutes to be approved at next meeting. Discussion The following items were discussed:  The Mayor met with Bernie Lynch of Colonial regarding an aggregation contract. We are now waiting for the contract to be completed.  Demand response was discussed. It was noted that Rob Demarais said they tried to implement it but it was too cumbersome to manage.  Tom Barrasso gave us his final updates on the 16 new EV Charging Stations installed around town.  The rate of charge will be determined and set by the end of August.  Discussion of charging rates followed with a suggestion of $2.00/hour with 3 hours to charge. Or Mike Brown suggested a charge of $.45 an hour while charging and $20/hour without charging to prevent people parking in those spots long term.   Green Community Grants are coming around this August/ September. Amesbury applied for $170,000 mostly for schools  Tom Barrasso has a meeting with Wendy O’Malley regarding PACE on 8/17 He will be discussing performance based contract for installation of $2,500,000 in improvements including a solar array, roofing and LED lighting in our schools.
