Call to order at 6:30 p.m. by Laurie. II. New Business: A. Water infiltration study discussion: Doing study to determine source of water infiltration. May need to take down parts of the tin ceiling and/or materials related to its installation under guidance of Meghan. Meghan says it’s highly unlikely that we’ll be able to salvage the tin because it’s so thin. May need to take down more than originally anticipated. The material has been damaged by water in some spots. Currently don’t see it (it’s above a drop ceiling). Want to take down areas around roofline and dormer. Seen as an acceptable loss. It is not the only area in the library with a tin ceiling. There is some in the basement as well. Gail makes a motion to permit the removal of portions of the original tin ceiling for the purpose of completing the water infiltration study in order to maintain the integrity of the building as a whole.
