Organization Title VI Program
Two (2) VIRTUAL Public Hearings on this document will be held, one in the early
afternoon, and one in the evening:

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that no person in the United
States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin (including limited
English proficiency), be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of,
or be subjected to discrimination under any program proactivity receiving Federal
financial assistance. The MVMPO’s Title VI Program assures that federal
requirements are fully met and explains how the MVMPO is responsive to the
needs of Title VI beneficiaries to provide an inclusive transportation planning
process.
The above referenced draft document is available for review on the Merrimack
Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) website (www.mvpc.org ) for the twenty-one
(21) day review period beginning on February 1, 2023 and ending on February
21, 2023.
The MVMPO staff will accept emailed written comments on the Draft document
through February 21, 2023. Public comments must be submitted to:
tcollins@mvpc.org or through the “Comment Form” button on the mvpc.org/news
website where you will find this notice with links to the Draft document and the
comments button.
The MVMPO expects to take action on the above document at its late February
meeting (check www.mvpc.org toward the end of the review period for recent
news regarding the MPO VIRTUAL meeting). Members of the public are invited to
JOIN the VIRTUAL meeting. Comments on the draft documents will also be
accepted orally at this meeting. In the event that further amendments to the
documents are recommended, the draft documents will be re-released for public
comment in accordance with the MVMPO Public Participation Plan.
Notice: The Virtual Public Hearings are accessible to people with disabilities and
individuals with limited English proficiency. The MVMPO provides reasonable
accommodations and/or language assistance free of charge upon request
(including but not limited to interpreters in American Sign Language and
languages other than English, CART, translated documents, open or closed
captioning for videos, assistive listening devices and alternate material formats,
such as audio tapes, Braille and large print), as available. For accommodation
