Public Notice: Merrimack Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization Proposed Action and Comment Period The Merrimack Valley Planning Organization (MVMPO) hereby gives notice of the availability of the following proposed action(s) for public review and comment: FFY2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment #1 The above referenced action(s) are available for review on the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) website (www.mvpc.org/mvmpo) and are described below. The Merrimack Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MVMPO) invites the public to discuss the proposed action(s) and provide comments. • Location: Virtual • Date: Monday, December 2 • Time: 4:00pm • Format: Office hours – Staff will be available to explain the actions and answer questions; no formal presentation will be provided. • Alternative Ways to Participate: Written comments may be provided to transportation@mvpc.org. Members of the public may also use this email to setup a separate appointment with staff. Proposed Action(s): Amendment #1 packages several actions: -Newburyport: Bikeshare Pilot – Programs $180,000 over three years from FFY25-FFY27. -Newbury and Georgetown: Border to Boston Earmarks – Moves currently programmed earkmark funds from FFY24 to FFY25. -Haverhill: Basiliere Bridge – Adds $34,403,828 to the project due to revised cost estimates. -Haverhill: Main Street Intersection Safety Demonstration Project – Adds $250,102 of discretionary aid per grant award. -Haverhill: Columbia Park at Main Street Safety Demonstration Project – Adds $743,778 of discretionary aid per grant award. -Lawrence: Safety Action Plan – Adds $250,000 of discretionary aid per grant award. -Haverhill: Removing the Scars of Urban Renewal Reconnecting Communities Project – Adds $565,000 of discretionary aid per grant award.
