By City Clerk at 8:24 am, Sep 20, 2023 City of Amesbury Office of the City Clerk 62 Friend St. Amesbury, MA 01913 City Council Ordinance & Administration Subcommittee Special Meeting Minutes June 21, 2023, at 7:15 PM City Hall Auditorium- 62 Friend St. Councilor Peter Frey called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Roll Call was called, and present were Atty. Johnson, Atty. Raffa, Councilor Rinaldi and Councilor Frey. Absent was Councilor Lennon. Topics for Discussion- Motion to reconsider a new date for the subcommittee to discuss and provide recommendation on: 2023-005 An Ordinance to amend the Amesbury Zoning Ordinance and the Amesbury Overlay Zoning Map in order to establish a new Smart Growth Overlay District pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 40R and 760 CMR 59.00 that shall be known as the East End Smart Growth Overlay District. -Mayor Sponsor • Councilor Frey suggests the committee take this up at their regularly scheduled July meeting on July 17th. He said it would give the subcommittee more time to have discussion on the item and decide what they are going to do. • Councilor Rinaldi suggested the subcommittee take it up earlier and discuss it tonight. The City Clerk, Amanda Haggstrom reminded them that the purpose of this special meeting was to choose another date to have discussion and that it was not permitted tonight. Councilor Rinaldi moved to put 2023-005 on the agenda for the July 17th O&A meeting. He was seconded by Councilor Frey. The motion passed unanimously (2 voting members present).
