Board of Trustees Minutes March 23, 2020 Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Siry, Deputy Mayor Kevin Smith, Trustee Jessica Bernius, Trustee Michael O’Neill ALSO PRESENT: Village Attorney Bruce Kennedy The salute to the flag was led by Bruce Kennedy. Mayor Siry opened the March 23rdh meeting of the Board of Trustees, for the primary purpose of paying bills. All Trustees, except Trustee Thomas Whalen were present and practiced social distancing to prevent spread of the coronavirus. The full agenda items, with the exception of the Hearing and Resolutions was voted on as a single vote. Landscaper License – Renewal Marvin A. SCTM 101-1-1-2 SCTM 101-12-5-26 SCTM 101-4-2-21 SCTM 101-13-7-5 SCTM 101-4-4-24 SCTM 101-13-10-4 SCTM 101-8-2-22 SCTM 101-14-2-22 SCTM 101-11-5-6 Mayor Siry announced the tabling of a vote on clean up charges originally proposed for real property known as SCTM 101-4-2-21 to the owner of record known as Edward’s Florist Building Corp. located at 3310 West Butte Canyon Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85086-4200. MOTION to CLOSE the Public Hearing was made by Deputy Mayor Smith and seconded by Trustee Bernius Vote on Motion: Mayor Siry aye Deputy Mayor Smith aye Trustee Bernius aye Trustee O’Neill aye Motion Carried: 4 aye 0 nays Resolutions Resolutions 20-03-23-01 through 20-03-23-08 for Re-levying of unpaid property clean-up charges RESOLUTION 20-03-23-01 THROUGH 20-03-23-08 Resolution 20-03-23-01 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $3,840.63 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM 101-1-1-2 to the owner of record known as Robert and Katie Bullard located at 595 County Line Rd., Amityville, NY 11701; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-02 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $9,657.73 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM 101-4-4-24 to the owner of record known as U.S. Bank National 3 Board of Trustees Minutes March 23, 2020 Association located at 4801 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-03 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $1,442.07 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM 101-8-2-22 to the owner of record known as Anthony J. Trapani located at 43 Bayview Ave., Amityville, NY 11701; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-04 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $1,336.07 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM «SCTM» to the owner of record known as Dania Drewing located at 183 Richmond Ave., Amityville, NY 11701 said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-05 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $2,740.03 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM 101-12-5-26 to the owner of record known as Spur Dr. Estates Inc./L.I. Recycling Corp. located at 270 Captains Dr., West Babylon, NY 11704; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-06 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $4,356.16 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM 101-13-7-5 to the owner of record known as Douglas and Dawn Costabile located at 24 Stuart Ave., Amityville, NY 11701; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-07 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. Box 803, Amityville, NY 11701; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020. Resolution 20-03-23-08 RESOLVED that the record having shown that there has been due compliance with the procedure for assessing clean-ups of unsightly property as provided in Chapter 97, Article 1 of the Village code and that the cost of such clean-up was fair and reasonable. The sum of $2,399.80 is hereby assessed against the real property known as SCTM 101-14-2-22 to the owner of record known as Walter and Carmel Miller located at 336 Grand Central Ave., Amityville, NY 11701; said assessment to be added to the tax bill for said premises for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2020.
