Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes April 28, 2025 The Board of Trustees Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Michael O’Neill, Deputy Mayor Owen Brooks; Trustee Roger Smith, Trustee Rob Russo and Trustee Adam Ansanelli MEMBERS ABSENT: Village Attorney Bruce Kennedy ALSO PRESENT: Chief Bryan Burton AFD Chief Stephen Juliano DPW Superintendent Bruce Hopper Building Inspector Michael Breitweg Clerk/Treasurer Catherine Murdock Mayor’s Assistant Wendy O’Neill Mayor O’Neill welcomed everyone to the Board of Trustees Meeting and asked Chief Byran Burton to lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Deputy Mayor Owen E. Brooks, Jr. then announced upcoming events, including: Amityville Little League Parade rescheduled to Saturday, May 3rd at 10 a.m.; the next Board of Trustees meeting on May 12th; the BVCA and Save the Great South Bay Creek Defender clean up on Saturday May 17th at Ketcham’s Creek, and First United Methodist Church Spring Fling flower sale and craft fair on May 10th. Mayor O’Neill called for a motion to open the Budget Hearing. He provided the following summary: Village of Amityville Tentative Budget 2025-2026 To: The Board of Trustees Submitted herewith, in accordance with Village law, is the budget for the Fiscal year June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026.
