ARTHUR CARTER AMSTERDAM MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE GOLF COMMISSION MINUTES December 22, 2021 City Hall at 4:00PM PLEDGE OF ALLIGENCE: ALL ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Chris, Bill, Bo, Kevin APPROVAL OF 11-23-2021 MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS Add league fee of $10 to last minutes PUBLIC COMMENT: OLD BUSINESS: Driving Range-Bo will meet with Recreation second week of January Maintenance committee/BrightView financials report. We agreed that the tires should be ordered. ● Randy Gardinier will bring a snow machine to groom trails for cross country skiing. ● Priority report on needed equipment was created. This is attached. We have $28,000 for new equipment in the budget. Bo wants to use the money from the Business improvement money and asbestos abatement refund money so we don’t have to take on more debt to pay for this equipment. ● Kevin expressed the need to replace or fix the cart paths. The paths are in very poor condition. ● Snow removable will be taken car of by DPW Golf Software progress Kevin wants to pay Foreup one more month to overlap Lightspeed so there is nothing lost. Open House planning-Kevin will keep us updated as plans go forward. Maintenance Contract was approved (This was the second year of a 5 year contract) Free passes with membership purchase- Kevin got that approved. MOTION: Each member will receive 3 free guest greens fees passes (6 passes for a couple) for the season (cart fee must be paid)-Bill all in favor. Membership pamphlet. Chris Tag line for golf course? League meeting status-Kevin reported that Tom Tambasco committed to forming a new league on Thursday. Bag tags. Chris will contact Dani Whelly and Andrew Robertshaw if Sticker Mule can make and possibly donate. NEW BUSINESS: Charge a 2.5% surcharge for credit card purchases- Our annual credit card expense is $10K We need to eliminate this cost. More tee times per hour for outside play- Kevin will add 3 times for the public and adjust as necessary during the season. Motion: Chris/Bill-Lower the membership for people who work in the pro shop.
