Airport Advisory Board Meeting Minutes Anaconda – Deer Lodge County July 25th, 2018 – 7:00 a.m. Pilot’s Lounge . Members Present: Chairman Jim Jonas, Tim Casey, John Lombardi, Greg Bahr, Airport Manager Members Absent: Vice Chair Al Messer, Randy Johnson, Nick Nardacci, Eric Cortwright, Commissioner Terry Vermeire Others Attending: Carlye Hansen, Planning Department Secretary I. Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Jim Jonas, called the meeting to order at 7:02 a.m. II. Approval of Minutes: The approval from prior meeting minutes taken on June 27 th, 2018 was tabled until the next meeting. III. Manager’s Report: Greg Bahr, Airport Manager A. Courtesy Car – The car is at the airport and ready to be used other than decals to be put on by Terry Vermeire. It was out for the first time on Sunday. Two gentleman had flown in enroute to Oshkosh and wanted to golf at the Old Works and used it to go to there and back. There will be a GPS tracker put on this and it was confirmed by our County Attorney that this is legal to do Greg also presented a list of Courtesy Car Rules. These are attached to this document. B. Fuel Farm – Greg talked to Rick Tabish and according to him this is still in the works. CEO Everett was going to get a final answer last Monday, but Greg has not heard anymore at this point. C. DigiWx – The yearly inspection was done on July 18th. VIS was out for a couple days while waiting for a new power supply. They were able to run this all on one power supply until the new one arrived. D. Usage – At this time, there have been 15 jets and 12 small planes since July 1 st, 2018.  E. Maintenance – Things have been running well. The white light on the beacon burned out, but it has been a year since this has happened. Mowing has been going well and the airport was able to use a student who got a MIP and had to use up some community service hours to weed eat and clean up. A group of gals from Belgrade came to paint “Bowman Field” as well as the elevation on the runway. A new riding mower with a bagger has also been ordered from Hardware Hanks. The new mower is working great and it has been requested in the budget to purchase some attachments for it such as a back blade and possibly a plow for the front. F. Fly-In – The fly-In is scheduled for August 25th, 2018. Posters have been made and some have been put up and others will be mailed to other airports. If anyone wants some to post, please see Greg. There are goodie bags and kids fun stuff that will be given out and Greg is hoping to have shirts made for prizes this year if everyone is okay with this. G. Lease Payments – Carlye will be starting to get the lease bills out in the next few weeks. Have also had two inquiries about the ground available for a new hangar, but this is very early in the stages for this. VI.
