ANACONDA-DEER LODGE COUNTY BOARD OF PUBLIC HEALTH MEETING MINUTES Thursday, July 13, 2017. Anaconda Community Center, 3rd Floor Conference Room Present: Janie Dierenfeldt (BOH Chairperson), Audrey Mattson, Kitty Basirico (ADLC-PHD Director), James Whealon (ADLC Commissioner), John Drastal Karen Solberg (ADLC Sanitarian), Excused: Cindy Reed (Health Officer), Mandy Boyer (Director Anaconda Head Start), Kate Coward (Director Smelter City Senior Center) Absent: Mark Softich, Sandy Bivins Guests: Margaret Osika, Amanda Bohrer (A-DLC Tobacco Prevention Specialist). Megan Rediske, MSN, RN (MT Tech Nursing) I. Call to Order – Janie Dierenfeldt called the meeting to order at 4:38 PM without a quorum. II. June 8, 2017 minutes - no motion was made for lack of quorum. No public comment. III. DEPARTMENT REPORTS A. Environmental Health Department – Report discussed. No public comment B. School Update –No report nor public comment. C. Public Health Department –Report presented. Department Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) protocols could once again not be signed off by the Board for lack of quorum. Hopefully, Board can sign off on the protocols at the August meeting. No public comment. D. County/Commission –No public comment E. Superfund Update – Nothing to report. No public comment. F. Code Enforcement Officer – New Code Enforcement Officer has been hired: Joe Ungaretti. No public comment. IV. Old Business: - BOH Vacancies – one ex-officio –Sandi Bivins will continue on the Board, Dr. Zuniga has not settled down yet but hopes to join in the future. No public comment. - LEPC – no new information. No public comment. - Future presentations- Will be entertained after By-laws and Ordinance are done. Possibilities are Western Montana Mental Health. No public comment. - BOH Strategic Planning bylaws update – Please bring your suggestions and comments on the latest version of the By-Laws to the special meeting in July. No public comment. V. New Business: no new business VI. Miscellaneous/Announcements, including educational offerings. No public comment. VII. Public Comment: none VIII. No motioned to adjourn for lack of quorum.
