Present: Ray Lappin, Lydia Janosko, Karen Vaughn, Judy Little, Sean Steinebach, Bob Andreozzi, Kelley Hirning, Jamie Kirby, Wayne Wendt. II. Project a. Project year 2017 was discussed and the DNRC Urban Forestry draft grant application was reviewed. Jamie Kirby suggested some revisions to the draft application. b. Removals- 2017 ASTP committee decided that focus for removal will be up to 10 large public property trees to be identified at a later date c. Focus areas for placement - 2017 ASTPC tree placement was discussed; the committee will decide at a later meeting. d. 2017 Pruning focus area – Pruning focus area will be Main Street west to Pine and Park Street south to 8th street, with possible inclusion of the tree in front of Dahoods Law office. e. Tree Inventory Update – Jamie updated the committee regarding the Tree Keeper Program that will be undertaken statewide and suggested that this be an important asset to our project. It will also involve free training for maintaining the updated inventory. This will provide information on the economic value of our urban forest. f. Arbor Day Workshop We will try to convince Toby Day to again present our 2017 Arbor Day Tree Care Workshop. g. Tree Ordinance will be updated and emailed to the Anaconda Tree Board for review. III. Next ASTPC/ATB meeting to be announced.
