City of Anderson Minutes of the Regular Meeting: May 26, 2015 Board of Public Works PRESENT: Pete Heuer, Chairman Michael Frischkorn Roger Clark, Member Stu Hirsch Charlie Jones, Member Charlee Turner, Recording Secretary Yasser Abouaish APPROVAL OF MINUTES The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. The minutes of the prior meeting were presented. Member Clark made the motion and Member Jones seconded to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS APPROVE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE MAYOR FOR THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ANDERSON UNIVERSITY AND THE CITY OF ANDERSON REGARDING COLTS CAMP Deputy Director for Economic Development Michael Frischkorn requested the Board recommend for approval by the Mayor an Agreement regarding the Colts Camp in the amount of $120,000 with loan forgiveness for an additional $50,000. The agreement is the same as the 2014 Colts Camp Agreement except for the dates of the event. Food and Beverage funds are available. Member Clark moved to approve the recommendation to the Mayor. Member Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously. APPROVE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE MAYOR FOR THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ANDERSON BREWFEST AND THE CITY OF ANDERSON FOR SPONSORSHIP/DONATION Deputy Director for Economic Development Michael Frischkorn requested the Board recommend for approval by the Mayor this Sponsorship/Donation Agreement regarding the sponsorship of the Anderson Brewfest in the amount of $5000. Food and Beverage funds are available. Member Jones moved to approve the recommendation to the Mayor. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. APPROVE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE MAYOR FOR THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ANDERSON BLACK EXPO AND THE CITY OF ANDERSON FOR SPONSORSHIP/DONATION Deputy Director for Economic Development Michael Frischkorn requested the Board recommend for approval by the Mayor a sponsorship for the Anderson Chapter, Indiana Black Expo, Inc. in the amount of $2000. The sponsorship will cover costs associated with the event. Food and Beverage funds are available. Member Clark moved to approve the recommendation to the Mayor. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. APPROVE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE MAYOR FOR THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ANDERSON CITY MARKET AND THE CITY OFANDERSON FOR SMALL BUSINESS INCENTIVE Deputy Director for Economic Development Michael Frischkorn requested the Board recommend for approval by the Mayor a sponsorship of the Anderson City Market in the amount of $1000. The sponsorship would be used to market the new location of the City Market. Food and Beverage funds are available. Member Jones moved to approve the recommendation to the Mayor. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS OLD BUSINESS APPROVAL OF CLAIMS With no further business coming before the Board it was unanimously passed to pay the claims in the amount of $6,465,363.21. Member Jones made the motion to pay the bills and Chairman Heuer seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
