City of Anderson Minutes of the Regular Meeting: October 2, 2018 Board of Public Works PRESENT Dick Symmes Mike Spyers Bill Johnson Jack Keesling Tim Stires Cynthia Myers Tim Lanane Ken De la Bastide Stacy Johnson Brian Morgan CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by Member Keesling. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the September 25, 2018 meeting were presented. Member Symmes made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: Engineering Mike Spyers, requested bids for the concrete curb and sidewalk removal and replacement on Louise Street from 11th Street to Nichol Avenue. Bids were received from E & B Paving in the amount of $99,199.00, RA Myers Construction in the amount of $114,421.00 and DC Construction Services, Inc. in the amount of $59,590.00. Mr. Spyers asked that the Board take the bids under advisement for further review. Member Symmes made a motion to take the bids under advisement. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Municipal Development Tim Stires, Municipal Development, requested the Board approve a Secondary Plat for Lot #1 in Oakridge Farms Addition, located in the 5500 Block of West 53rd Street Parkway on the south side. The single lot contains 1.955 acres and is zoned B-2. The newly platted Lot #1 is the site of the longtime Financial Forms, Inc. business building and Monofoil USA. Member Symmes made a motion to approve the Secondary Plat Lot #1 in Oakridge Farms Addition. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS: NONE OLD BUSINESS: NONE APPROVAL OF CLAIMS With no further business coming before the Board, claims were presented in the amount of $1,824,817.50. Member Symmes made a motion to approve the published Claims. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
