City of Anderson Minutes of the Regular Meeting: October 15, 2019 Board of Public Works PRESENT Jack Keesling Paul Podlejski Chuck Leser Richard Symmes Jacob M. Case Amber Lewis-Lilly April Phillips Francisco S. Cazares Randy Warman Ken De la Bastide Brian Morgan CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 1:32 p.m. by Member Keesling. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the October 8, 2019, meeting were presented. Member Symmes made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Paul Podlejski, Assistant City Attorney, opened the bid packets for the Jefferson Street Curbs & Sidewalk Project. The bids were as follows: Cazares Concrete, LLC. $368,055, United Construction Services, LLC. $384,142, and E&B Paving $292,624. Member Symmes moved to take the bids under consideration. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 2 yes, 0 no. Community Development Paul Podlejski, Assistant City Attorney, opened the lone quote for the 718 West 17th Street homeowner rehabilitation project. AMI Construction’s quote was $41,003. Member Symmes moved to take the bids under consideration. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 2 yes, 0 no. Amber Lewis-Lilly requested the Board set October 29, 2019, as the date to accept quotes for a homeowner rehabilitation project at 2568 West 12th Street. Member Symmes moved to set the date of October 29, 2019, as the date to accept quotes for the 2568 W 12th Street homeowner rehabilitation project. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 2 yes, 0 no. MISCELLANEOUS: NONE OLD BUSINESS: NONE APPROVAL OF CLAIMS With no further business coming before the Board, claims were presented in the amount of $3,203,552.04. Member Symmes made a motion to approve the published Claims. Member Keesling seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
