MINUTES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION August 12, 2021 PUBLIC HEARING Moss Island Road. The request is for a six-year tax 4:30pm abatement, as it is considered in-fill housing. Via Zoom Conferencing Construction will commence before December 31, 2021, for a single-family dwelling intended for human MEMBERS PRESENT habitation. Improvements to the property will be at Lance Stephenson, President an estimated cost of $310,648.00. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Reed, Secretary/Treasurer Wilson briefed members on the new construction. Mary Jamerson Brief discussion followed. STAFF PRESENT Mr. Reed moved to approve Resolution EDC10-21 Greg Winkler, ED Director for Amy and Terry Wilson and Ms. Jamerson Karen Soetenga, ED Staff seconded. A roll call vote was conducted. Motion Paul Podlejski, City Attorney passed unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no. OTHERS PRESENT Ms. Jamerson made a motion to adjourn and Mr. Amy and Terry Wilson, Tax Abatement Applicant Reed seconded. Meeting adjourned at 4:42 p.m. Jesse and Ra’Shai Reynolds, Tax Abatement Applicant Darren Grile, City of Anderson OPEN REGULAR MEETING ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF QUORUM MINUTES Ms. Jamerson made a motion to approve the May 13, 2021 minutes as presented. Mr. Reed seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no. NEW BUSINESS EDC09-21 Resolution Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Jesse and Ra ’Shai Reynolds – 3035 W. 18 th Street Mr. Winkler briefed members on Resolution EDC09- 21 a residential tax abatement for Jesse and Ra’Shai Reynolds. Mr. Winkler stated the address is 3035 W. 18th Street. The request is for a six-year tax abatement, as it is considered in-fill housing. Construction will commence before December 31, 2021, for a single-family dwelling intended for human habitation. Improvements to the property will be at an estimated cost of $363,000.00. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds briefed members on the new construction. Brief discussion followed. Ms. Jamerson moved to approve Resolution EDC09- 21 for Jesse and Ra’Shai Reynolds and Mr. Reed seconded. A roll call vote was conducted. Motion passed unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no.
