1 City of Anderson Minutes of the Regular Meeting, October 16, 2012 Park Board Members Present • Dick Bevelhimer: Vice President • Carolyn Dunteman • Darin Foltz Attorney: Richard Walker 2:23 Call to Order Mr. Dick Bevelhimer called the meeting to order at 4:15, and led all in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2:24 Approval of October 2, 2012 minutes Mr. Darin Foltz motioned to approve October 2, 2012 minutes Ms. Carolyn Dunteman seconded the motion Motion carried 2:25 Business Administrators Report: Teresa Spencer Request for motion to approve payment of bills totaling $14,207.27 Ms. Carolyn Dunteman motioned to approve payment of bills totaling $14,207.27 Mr. Darin Foltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. 2:26 Interim Superintendent Briefing: Stephon Blackwell • Mr. Blackwell expressed the city’s appreciation to all participants of the Do Something Anderson 2012 Project there were over 1500 volunteers. He also stated that on Columbus Day several employees from Star Financial Bank also volunteered their services to scrap and paint trim at Geater Center, they also cleaned out several traffic islands and manned canoes and cleared out trash around Shadyside Lake. • Youth Football regular season will end weekend of October 20th with playoffs on October 24th and 25th. Super Bowl will be October 27th. • Community service people will be helping Tom Tacket until Mike Shock returns from vacation 11-1-2012. • Mr. Blackwell requested approval to eliminate the 7.5% that Tod Windlan receives from golf cart fees. Darin Foltz motioned to eliminate the 7.5% in golf cart fees that Tod Windlan receives Carolyn Dunteman seconded the motion Motion carried • The board was also updated on the rehabilitation status of Glen “Nick” Baldwin. 2:27 Maintenance Superintendent: Tom Tacket • Mr. Tacket also gave a detailed update on Mr. Baldwin • Electrical repairs have taken place at both Shadyside Park Botanical Walk and Parking lot and Shadyside Lake Trail Lights  2 2:28 New Business: • Mountain Bike/Horse Trails • Mr. Jeff Carter attended the meeting to speak for Mike McFall. Mr. Carter stated that the October 15th meeting with Bob McFetters went well; he is asking that the board allow both parties to meet along with Mr. Stephon Blackwell and Mr. Tom Tacket to resolve the issue with usage. Once all parties have reached a decision they will present their proposal to the board for approval.
