ANDOVER CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING – SEPTEMBER 18, 2024 MINUTES The Andover City Council Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Sheri Bukkila on September 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., at the Andover City Hall, 1685 Crosstown Boulevard NW, Andover, Minnesota. Councilmembers present: Jamie Barthel, Ted Butler, Rick Engelhardt, and Randy Nelson Councilmembers absent: None Also present: Human Resources Manager, Dana Makinen City Administrator Candidates The City Council interviewed the second candidate for the City Administrator position. The candidate spoke for about 5 minutes outlining the city’s strengths and opportunities. The City Council then asked questions for 40 minutes. The City Council via Zoom interviewed the third candidate, who gave a presentation on their view of the city’s strengths and opportunities. The City Council then asked questions for 30 minutes. The fourth candidate was interviewed, and they gave a 10-minute presentation on the city’s strengths and opportunities. The City Council then asked questions for 30 minutes. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Barthel, Seconded by Councilmember Engelhardt to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
