ROLL CALL Present: 3- Jane Lumm, Kathy Griswold and Ali Ramlawi Absent: 1- Jeff Hayner Jacqueline Beaudry, City Clerk; Kristen Larcom, Senior Assistant City Attorney; Kelly Beattie, Projects, Boards and Commissions Coordinator; and Michael Rein, University of Michigan Director of Community Relations were also present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 20-0586 Council Liquor License Review Committee Minutes January 31, 2020 A motion was made by Councilmember Ramlawi, seconded by Councilmember Griswold, that the Minutes be approved by the Commission. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None. NEW BUSINESS 20-0581 Resolution to Approve a Request from The Regents of the University of Michigan for a New Resort Class C Liquor License with a Dance/Entertainment Permit to be Located at 500 E. Stadium Boulevard A motion was made by Councilmember Griswold, seconded by Councilmember Ramlawi, that the resolution be recommended for approval to the City Council and be placed on the 5/4/2020 City Council agenda. INFORMATION/UPCOMING BUSINESS The committee requested procedural information on how to expand the scope of the committee to include marijuana facilities. Kristen Larcom, Senior Assistant City Attorney, will deliver a report to the committee in June with the requested information. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Councilmember Ramlawi, seconded by Councilmember Griswold, that the meeting adjourn.
