Huron Street. *With the absence of Councilmember Song, it was approved by unanimous consent that Councilmember Grand would act as chair. ROLL CALL Present: 3- Lisa Disch, Kathy Griswold and Julie Grand Absent: 1- Linh Song City Clerk Jacqueline Beaudry, Assistant City Attorney John Reiser and Administrative Assistant Rachel Weinberg were in attendance. APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Councilmember Disch, seconded by Councilmember Griswold, that the Agenda be approved as presented. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 22-0074 Council Liquor License Review Committee Meeting Minutes of August 10, 2021 A motion was made by Councilmember Grand, seconded by Councilmember Griswold, that the Council Liquor License Review Committee Meeting Minutes of August 10, 2021 be approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City Council by 2/7/2022. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS City of Ann Arbor Page 1 Council Liquor License Review Meeting Minutes - Final January 11, 2022 Committee Annual Liquor License Review Process City staff presented to the Committee the process for the annual liquor license review, noting that invoices for renewals had been sent to all licensees of on-premise liquor consumption. City departments, including Treasury, Building, Fire, Police and Attorney had also been asked to review the applicants for renewal and provide recommendations. The only objections came from Treasury for the following outstanding debts to the City: Ann Arbor Distilling Company - $107.13 Cafe Zola - $8469.67 Nagomi Sushi (Plymouth Road) - $2134.23 Nagomi Sushi (Liberty St.) - $681.13 (2019) and $621.03 (2020) Shalimar - $1106.94 (2019) and $5431.83 (2020) Councilmember Grand moved, seconded by Councilmember Griswold, that the City Clerk's Office proceed with a follow-up notice to the above licensees requesting payment by February 4, 2022 to prevent further action regarding the renewal of the liquor license. On a voice vote, the motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS INFORMATION/UPCOMING BUSINESS 22-0075 2022 Proposed Calendar for Meetings City staff and committee members reviewed the proposed calendar for meetings and for the renewal process for 2022. It was determined that the next meeting would be scheduled for Friday, February 4 at 3:45 p.m. The proposed calendar was approved by consent of the members present.
