CALL TO ORDER
Chair Eyer called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m. Present:
Councilmembers Briggs, Eyer, Griswold, Radina and Song. Also
present: Interim City Administrator Milton Dohoney Jr., Assistant
City Administrator John Fournier, City Attorney Atleen Kaur, Deputy
City Attorney Tim Wilhelm, Executive Assistant Kelly Reynolds who
recorded the minutes. Also present: Andrea Cascarilla, James
Brandell, and Andrew Doerr of Dykema PLLC. Three phone callers
were present.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion to approve the agenda as presented by Councilmember
Briggs, seconded by Councilmember Radina. Approved.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Motion to approve the minutes by Councilmember Briggs,
seconded by Councilmember Radina. Approved
NEW BUSINESS
1 Introduction of Dykema Gossett PLLC Federal and State Lobbying Team
Mr. Fournier welcomed Dykema Gossett PLLC. Ms. Cascarilla
introduced the team and their roles.
2 Discussion of 22/23 Policy Agenda Document
With input from the Dykema Gossett team, and feedback from
Councilmembers, Mr. Fournier will edit and reformat the policy
agenda document as it currently exists into a more focused policy
agenda that incorporates ideas discussed. The draft will be
distributed for comment to the members prior to the next meeting of
this committee.
3 Discussion of Federal Earmark Requests
Mr. Fournier informed the group of five submissions made for FY23

Federal Community Projects. These project applications were made
with the assistance of Dykema Gossett PLLC.

INFORMATION/UPCOMING BUSINESS
PUBLIC COMMENT
Michelle Hughes offered public comment by phone. They would like
to see building code revised to address the need for gender neutral
restroom facilities.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilmember Griswold moved to adjourn. Councilmember Song
seconded. Approved. The meeting was adjourned at 5:03 p.m.
