INFORMATION/UPCOMING BUSINESS
City Election Commissioners discussed plans for the upcoming election,
notably the increase in mail-in or absentee ballots. The city clerk stated
the counting of the ballots at the Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB)
was scheduled to take place at Huron High School, due to the increased
number of ballots and the new high-speed tabulation equipment. Due to
the off site location of the AVCB, it was decided that an additional police
presence would be needed to ensure the security of the ballots.
