Larcom, Jr. Building, 2nd Floor Council Work Room, 301 E. Huron Street. ROLL CALL Steve Gerhart, Chief Deputy Clerk; Jennifer Alexa, Deputy Clerk; and Sarah Alanis of the City Clerk's Office were all in attendance. Present: 2- Jacqueline Beaudry, and Matt Thomas Absent: 2- Stephen Postema, and Michael Cox APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by Chair Beaudry, that the Agenda be approved as presented. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT Members of the League of Women Voters of Washtenaw County were present to observe the public accuracy and logic test of the voting equipment. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 21-1811 City Election Commission Meeting Minutes of August 31, 2021 A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by Chair Beaudry, that the Election Commission Meeting Minutes of August 31, 2021 be approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City Council by 12/6/2021. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS Public Accuracy and Logic Test of the Voting Equipment Jennifer Alexa, deputy clerk, performed the public accuracy and logic test of the voting equipment for the upcoming November 2, 2021 election. City of Ann Arbor Page 1 Election Commission Meeting Minutes - Final October 12, 2021 21-1810 Election Inspector Appointments for the November 2, 2021 Election Stephen Gerhart, Chief Deputy Clerk, reviewed the election inspector assignments with the Commission. A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by Chair Beaudry, that the Resolution of Election Inspector Appointments be approved by the Commission. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. 21-1787 Ward Boundary Redistricting Clerk Beaudry presented the City Clerk's proposal for the redistricting of the City's wards in response to the new population numbers from the 2020 Census. A copy of the presentation is on file in the City Clerk's Office. A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by Chair Beaudry, that the Ward Redistricting Plan be recommended for approval and sent to the Council Administration Committee. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. INFORMATION/UPCOMING BUSINESS None.
