On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion unanimously carried. PUBLIC COMMENT - 3 MINUTES PER SPEAKER (MOLLY KLEINMAN) Houk - Scio Church Road Design 21-1381 Public Communications Received and Filed BUSINESS Speed Reduction Committee Recommendations 21-1318 Speed Reduction Committee Recommendations: Status Report Commissioner questions and comments included: • Speed cameras • Lobbying efforts: lower speed limits on state-owned roads; ability to set speed limits less than 25 mph on city-owned roads • Community advocacy opportunities to create pressure for MDOT changes • Traffic Calming Program: further local street program updates, new major street program • Funding for active transportation improvements • Enforcement: national trends, racial considerations, zero tolerance campaigns, high-visibility • Changing Driver Behavior Study Received and Filed Transportation Plan Implementation (RAYMOND HESS) None provided.
