A motion was made by Hautamaki, seconded by Lee, that the
Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the minutes
be forwarded to the City Council, due on 2/14/2022. On a unanimous
voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT - 3 MINUTES PER SPEAKER (MOLLY KLEINMAN)
• Mr. Clark commented on A2Zero and automated enforcement
• Alex Baum commented on Stone School road crossing
22-0104 PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS

BUSINESS
Chair and Vice Chair Elections (MOLLY KLEINMAN)
Nominations:
• Chair - Kleinman (nominated by Hautamaki)
• Vice Chair - Boland (nominated by Hautamaki) but withdrew
• Vice Chair - Hautamaki (nominated by Hautamaki)
A motion was made by Councilmember Briggs, seconded by
Boland, to Approve the election of Kleinman as Chair and
Hautamaki as Vice Chair. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair
declared the motion carried.
22-0120 DDA People Friendly Streets - State Street (AMBER MILLER) (30 MINUTES)
Commissioner questions and comments:
• sidewalk space and winter maintenance
• on-street parking on both sides of street
• loading zones
• disabled parking
• shared use path connections
A motion was made by Boland, seconded by Hautamaki, that the
resolution of support for the State Street Project as included in the
packet be Approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City

Council and should be returned by 2/14/2022. On a unanimous voice
vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.
22-0121 FY 2023 Policy Agenda Input (MOLLY KLEINMAN) (15 MINUTES)
Commissioner comments and questions:
• Adding A2Zero
A motion was made by Wanninkhof, seconded by Brovan, that the
Transportation Commission FY23 Policy Agenda Input as presented
be Approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City Council
and should be returned by 2/14/2022. On a unanimous voice vote,
the Chair declared the motion carried.
22-0122 Longman / Fairview Traffic Calming Petition (RAYMOND HESS) (10 MINUTES)
Commissioner comments and questions:
• impacts to budget and ability to implement
• new streamlined approach
• data on enforcement requests
• quick build
• expansion of traffic calming program
• spillover effects
A motion was made by Brovan, seconded by Hautamaki, that the
Longman/Fairview Traffic Calming Petition as spelled out in the draft
resolution be Approved by the Commission and forwarded to the
City Council and should be returned by 2/14/2022. On a unanimous
voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.
22-0135 Transportation Commission 2021 Annual Report
A motion was made by Hautamaki, seconded by Councilmember
Briggs, that the Calendar Year 2021 Annual Report be Approved by
the Commission and forwarded to the City Council and should be
returned by 2/14/2022. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair
declared the motion carried.
