Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Environmental Matters Committee Environmental Matters Committee Standing Committee Meeting March 17, 2021 Minutes Call To Order Chairman Savidge called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Savidge, Alderman Tierney and Alderman Arnett Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Arnett moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. Seconded. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Savidge, Alderman Tierney and Alderman Arnett 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes ENV02.17.21 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Attachments: ENV02.17.21 Alderman Arnett moved to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderman Savidge and Alderman Arnett Abstain: 1- Alderman Tierney Presentations ID-55-21 Developmental Update: Planning and Zoning Director Dr. Sally Nash Attachments: February 2021 Update (PDF).pdf Planning and Zoning Director Nash, and Deputy City Manager Guild were present and answered questions from the Committee. 2. Legislation before Committee O-5-21 Tucker Street Launching Facility - For the purpose of providing procedures for use of the Tucker Street launching facility; providing certain definitions; establishing acceptable proofs of residency for issuance of certain permits; and providing penalties for violations. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Savidge, Alderman Tierney and Alderman Arnett Harbor Master Bellis, and Assistant City Attorney Braithwaite were present and answered questions from the Committee. Alderman Paone was present and addressed the Committee. Alderman Arnett moved to postpone O-5-21 until the next Environmental Matters Committee Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Savidge, Alderman Tierney and Alderman Arnett 3. General Discussion Update from Deputy City Manager of Resiliency and Sustainability, Jacqueline Guild Deputy City Manager of Resiliency and Sustainability Guild was present and provided the Committee with an update.
