Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Meeting January 6, 2021 Minutes Call To Order Chairman Arnett called the meeting to order at 10:33 a.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Finlayson Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda as amended to remove O-48-20 and R-61-20 from the agenda. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Finlayson 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes FC12.16.20 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Alderwoman Finlayson moved to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Finlayson 2. General Discussion Financial Advisory Commission Update City Manager Jarrell, and Finance Director Dickinson were present and answered questions from the Committee. Update from the Finance Director Finance Director Dickinson, and City Manager Jarrell were present and provided an update to the Committee. Alderman Gay was present and addressed the Committee. Legislation before Committee O-48-20 Animal Control - Canine Leash Laws - For the purpose of prohibiting unrestrained dogs in public recreation areas, or at large; authorizing the Police Department to enforce the City’s leash laws; and making technical and stylistic changes to the City’s animal control laws.
