Minutes
1. Call To Order
Chairwoman Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 4:08 p.m.
2. Roll Call
Present: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Gay
Absent: 1- Alderman Paone
3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here)
Alderman Gay moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. Seconded. A roll
call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Gay
Absent: 1- Alderman Paone
4. Business before Committee

Alderman Gay moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The
motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Gay
Absent: 1- Alderman Paone
b. "Public Safety: Spotlight! Did You Know? Written Reports and Comments, Year to
Date Overdose Summary."
Fire Chief Remaley, Deputy Fire Chief Spriggs, Office of Emergency
Management Department Director Simmons, and Police Lt. Miguez were present
and provided the committee with an update on items such as: COVID-19, Safe
Stations, and statistics.
5. Legislation before Committee
O-14-20 Parking Spaces Reserved for Plug-in Electric Drive Vehicles - For the
purpose of establishing reserved parking spaces for plug-in electric drive vehicles;
creating certain definitions; establishing penalties; and making stylistic changes.
Alderman Gay moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was
taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Gay
Absent: 1- Alderman Paone
