Call To Order Chairwoman Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m. 2. Roll Call Alderman Gay arrived at 4:13 p.m. Present: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Add a Chairperson report Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda as amended. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Paone Absent: 1- Alderman Gay 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes PSC09.14.2 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 0 Alderman Paone moved to approve the minutes from the 09.14.20 meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Paone Absent: 1- Alderman Gay "Public Safety: Spotlight! Did You Know?" OEMD Director Simmons, Fire Chief Remaley, and Police Chief Jackson were present and presented to the committee. Chairwoman Pindell Charles provided the committee with a report of spotlight letters. "Public Safety: Written Reports and Comments" OEMD Director Simmons, Fire Chief Remaley, Deputy Fire Chief Spriggs, and Police Chief Jackson provided the committee with updates. Alderwoman Tierney was present and addressed the committee. Legislation before Committee O-28-20 Parking Permit Display - For the purpose of requiring that a residential parking permit must be visibly displayed on the vehicle to which it was issued. Alderwoman Tierney was provided the committee with a brief summary of the legislation. Alderman Gay moved to recommend favorably O-28-20. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay O-31-20 Non-motorized wheeled vehicles - For the purpose of setting standards for the use of non-motorized wheeled vehicles on sidewalks; and establishing a definition. Alderwoman Tierney was present and provided the committee with a brief summary of the legislation. Planning and Zoning Director Nash was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Paone moved to recommend favorably O-31-20. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay Alderman Gay left the meeting at 5:18 p.m. O-33-20 Towing of Vehicles - For the purpose of clarifying when a stopped, standing, or parked vehicle is subject to towing. Alderwoman Tierney was present and provided the committee with a brief summary of the legislation. Fire Chief Remaley was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Paone moved to recommend favorably O-33-20. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Paone Absent: 1- Alderman Gay 6.
