The Chair called the Meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.

4. General Discussion
ID-13-099 Update on hiring of City Manager
Human Resources Director Rensted discussed the filling of the vacant position of City
Manager.
The committee discussed draft legislation to request a professional search firm.
ID-13-100 Discussion of Contract Employees
The committee discussed contract employees.
the committee discussed the contract employee policy (Attached).
The committee discussed the differences between contract employees and contractors
engaged by the city.
The committee needs further discussion on the use of contract employees. The
committee will discuss amending the contract employee policy to include exceptions for
seasonal, part time and grant funded positions.
This committee will discuss further the FTE's in this years budget.
ID-136-14 Discussion of Employee Job Descriptions and Performance evaluations
Mr. Rensted discussed the job descriptions and employee classification.
The committee discussed the employee classification study.
The committee discussed concerns about the pay scales in similar positions.
The committee discussed the Rules and Regulations and changes being considered.
5. Adjournment
Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the meeting was adjourned at
4:54 PM.
