3. Legislation before Committee
O-6-17 Food Stores in C2A Districts - For the purpose of introducing Food Stores
as a permitted use in C2A zoning districts; and removing the erroneous
reference to a standard for Food Stores in the PM2 zoning district.

Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on
voice vote.
Alderman Budge gave a presentation on the discussion topic and answered
questions from the committee.

O-23-17 Certificate of Adequate Public Facilities - Police Protection - For the
purpose of defining “police officer” as that term is used in connection with
review criteria and certification for adequate police protection under
Chapter 22.14.

Acting Police Chief Baker gave a presentation on the discussion topic and answered
questions from the committee.
Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on
voice vote.
Alderman Budge was present and spoke on the harbormaster's certification as a
police officer.

R-7-17 Equal Protection CommissionTASK FORCE - For the purpose of creating
a TEMPORARY ADVISORY TASK FORCE Commission to study and
COMMISSIONED TO provide the Mayor and City Council with a public
forum FOR STUDYING AND PREPARING REPORTS ABOUT THE
ISSUES OF FOREIGN-BORN RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF
ANNAPOLIS to recommend and act to understand, mandate and enforce
“equal protection under the law” in Annapolis; and all matters relating to
said CommissionTASK FORCE.
