Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers 1. Call To Order Also Present: Alderwoman Finlayson Present: 3- Alderman Kirby, Alderman Budge and Alderman Pfeiffer 2. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes TC050514 Approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting Attachments: May 5, 2014 Alderman Pfeiffer moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Kirby, Alderman Budge and Alderman Pfeiffer 3. General Discussion ID-13-074 Bus Shelters Alderman Pfeiffer moved to postpone. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Kirby, Alderman Budge and Alderman Pfeiffer ID-154-14 Attachments: Keep Annapolis Accessible Schooner Woodwind Circulator letter Petition to save the Annapolis Circulator Letter Thayer Service Plan Adjustments Options Acting Director of Transportation Duah spoke on the Transportation Budget. Acting City Manager Woodward spoke on the Transportation Budget. Dr. Duah discussed wait times of the bus lines and how they would be affected by the proposed changes. City of Annapolis Page 1 Transportation Committee Standing Committee Minutes - June 2, 2014 Final Mr. Woodward stated that the city will monitor the effects of any changes over the year and will report back to the Committee quarterly. Robert Eades, 32 Pleasant Street, spoke about the circulator program suggesting that the taxi drivers could take those fares. Barbara Madison, 130 Hearne road - Claiborne Place Apartments, spoke about the yellow line bus service. Ms. Madison spoke against the the county taking over the yellow line busses. Ms. Madison discussed her concerns with the current department of aging bus service. Dr. Duah discussed the paratransit policy and how it relates to the hours of Annapolis Bus Transit service. Mr. Robert Peese, 130 Hearne road - Claiborne Place Apartments, discussed his concerns relating to ADA transportation. Dr. Duah explained the public hearing requirements of the MTA grant clarifying the threshold for a required public hearing. 4. Adjournment Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the meeting was adjourned at 6:13 PM. City of Annapolis Page 2
