Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Transportation Committee Transportation Committee Standing Committee Meeting October 14, 2021 Minutes Call To Order Chairwoman Tierney called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. Roll Call Present: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderwoman Pindell Charles Absent: 1- Alderman Schandelmeier Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. Seconded. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderwoman Pindell Charles Absent: 1- Alderman Schandelmeier 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes TC07.08.21 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Attachments: TC07.08.21 Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderwoman Pindell Charles Absent: 1- Alderman Schandelmeier Appointments and Reappointments to Committees AP-43-21 The Appointment of Tara Ashmore to the Transportation Board Attachments: Application Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to recommend favorably AP-43-21. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderwoman Pindell Charles Absent: 1- Alderman Schandelmeier Presentations ID-205-21 Transportation Portal Presentation: Planning and Zoning Director Dr. Sally City of Annapolis Page 2 Transportation Committee Standing Committee Meeting October 14, 2021 Minutes Nash Planning and Zoning Director Nash, and Ramond Robinson, Office of Transportation, 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401, provided the Committee with a presentation. Kurt Riegel, 307 A Monterey Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401, was present and addressed the Committee. 2. Legislation before Committee O-33-21 Tree removal on private property - For the purpose of requiring a permit for the removal of certain trees located on private property anywhere within the City limits; and generally relating to the removal of trees on private property. Attachments: O-33-21 First Reader O-33-21 Staff Report O-33-21 Fiscal Impact Note O-33-21 Amendments 1-4 Savidge Alderman Savidge was present and addressed the Committee. Planning and Zoning Director Nash was present and answered questions from the Committee. Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to take no action on O-33-21. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderwoman Pindell Charles Absent: 1- Alderman Schandelmeier R-23-21 Tree Removal on Private Property - Fines - For the purpose of establishing fines for the removal of certain trees; and providing an effective date. Attachments: R-23-21 First Reader R-23-21 Staff Report R-23-21 Fiscal Impact Note Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to take no action on R-23-21. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken.
