Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Transportation Committee Transportation Committee Standing Committee Meeting March 9, 2022 Minutes Call To Order Chairwoman O'Neill called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderwoman O'Neill, Alderman Savidge and Alderwoman Pindell Charles Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda as amended to add Live Public Testimony and a discussion from the Transportation Acting Director Agyemang-Duah. Seconded. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman O'Neill, Alderman Savidge and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes TC02.09.22 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Attachments: TC02.09.22 Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to approve the Minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman O'Neill, Alderman Savidge and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 2. Legislation Ordinances O-40-21 Capital Budget and Capital Improvement Program - 100% Electric Mobility Plan - For the purpose of adding the 100% Electric Annapolis Mobility Plan to include electric vehicles, boat and associated support infrastructure to the Fiscal Year 2022 Capital Budget and Capital Improvement Program. Alderman Gay and Alderman Arnett were present and addressed the committee. City Council Public Comment Web Forms were received from: Bill Reichhardt, 717 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 Jake Iverson, 980 Awald Road, Annapolis, MD 21403 Alderwoman Pindell Charles moved to recommend favorably O-40-21. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman O'Neill, Alderman Savidge and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 3. General Discussion Live Public Testimony Live Public Testimony was received from: Barbara Mattison, 130 Hearne Road Apt. 309, Annapolis, MD 21401. ID-54-22 Committee Discussion: Transportation Acting Director Agyemang-Duah Transportation Acting Director Agyemang-Duah was present and provided the committee with his replies to the Free Fare Report given by the Transportation Board at the February 9, 2022 Transportation Committee meeting. Alderman Gay was present and addressed the committee. Update from the Transportation Board Chair, Kurt Riegel Kurt Riegel, 307 A Monterey Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401, was present and provided the committee with updates on the following: Bicycles on sidewalks recommendation, Fare Free Transit, and 100% Electric proposal.
