The Unofficial results are as follows: MAYOR *Phil Rice 1,240 *Barbara Deeds Baldwin 585 Shane Perry 241 *Candidates will be placed on the November 3, 2020 General Election Ballot. REQUIRED VOTE Majority vote of members present.  2015 First Avenue, Anoka, MN 55303 Phone: (763) 576-2700 Website: www.ci.anoka.mn.us CITY OF ANOKA, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION RES-2020- A RESOLUTION CANVASSING MUNICIPAL ELECTION RETURNS FOR THE CITY OF ANOKA, PRIMARY ELECTION OF AUGUST 11, 2020 WHEREAS, a City Primary Election was held in Anoka, Minnesota on August 11, 2020; and WHEREAS, the City of Anoka had the following Municipal Office on the ballot: Mayor – 2 year term WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 205.065 requires that Primary Election results must be canvassed either the second or third day after the Primary Election; and WHEREAS, upon canvassing the election returns, the two candidates for the office named, who received the highest number of votes, shall be the nominees for said office at the General Election to be held on November 3, 2020; and WHEREAS, said nominee names shall be certified by the City Clerk and submitted to the County Elections office for placement on the Municipal General Election Ballot. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Anoka does hereby accept and enter into as official record the election returns as attached hereto as, for the August 11, 2020 Primary Election.
